Error H07 on Panasonic DVD Player RV-32

by Viper 24. January 2009 18:52

Tonight I was planning on watching movie Born in East L.A on my panasonic RV-32 dvd player. Every movie i will put in, player will stop after couple of seconds with H07 message displayed on player console. First I thought may be its something with my discs being scratched or something. After trying a dozen different discs, I was sure that player has gone nuts. I started searching for meaning of this error. Every result pointed to that motor/spindle of player that makes the disc spin is dead or choking. Finally I took the courage, opened up the player and tried to jiggle around with the gears and spindles. Tada... I was able to make it work. Well, my joy did not last long. In process of putting the inner assembly back together, i managed to break a gear. But big thing is that if you are good with dealing with hardware and assembling things together, then you can simply open up the player, oil the spindle and give it a little spin with hand. And you should be good to go.
