How to delete address from Microsoft Outlook cache

When you compose a new message in Microsoft Outlook and start typing a recipient address, it immediately presents you with an auto suggest list of addresses that you have sent emails to in the past. I love this feature. I do not have to remember any email addresses or things like that. But with time, this list tends to get long and some time have addresses that you don't care for or are not valid anymore. And there is chance that you may accidentally select an address that you really did not mean to. I have been using Microsoft Outlook for years now. Till recently I did not know about this handy feature of removing the addresses from this auto suggest cache. Here are the steps you can follow.

  • Open window to compose new message.
  • Type first character of email address. You will be presented with list of email addresses starting with that character. These are addresses that you have sent email to in the past.
  • Scroll to the email address that you want to delete from this list.
  • And hot "Delete" key.

As simple as that.
