Wii Internet Connection Setup Error 51030

I was trying to set up Wii console to stream Netflix movies and shows. The basic thing you need is to set up your WiFi connection for your Wii console. Every time I tried to set up my Wifi connection for Wii console, I kept getting error during connection test process. It kept giving me error code 51030.

I went to Nintendo support site to get some resolution. I tried all their suggestions and even tried to follow some standard network resolution steps like resetting router, turning off firewall and what not. I went over all the suggestions from nintendo site and could not find anything out of place. Then I found something that I did not think to be a problem. Here is some text from Nintendo support site.

Make sure that the SSID (network name) matches exactly to what you have entered in the Wii console's settings. To verify:

  1. Login to your router's settings (click here and select your router, if available, for information).
  2. Look for the section for SSID (typically in the "wireless settings" area).
  3. After you find the SSID (network name), verify in the manual settings of the Wii console that the SSID appears exactly as listed in the consumer's router. This includes making sure capitalization, spaces, or special characters match exactly.

I realized that SSID in Wii was set to locationX and when I looked at the router settings, SSID was LocationX. So I followed the instructions from nintendo site and fixed the name to match upper case L for SSID. And there you go, my Wii had internet connection all set up. I never thought that SSID name will be case sensitive.
